Dakbokkeumtang (Spicy Braised Chicken)
Ingredients
• 1 whole chicken (cut into pieces)
• 1 carrot
• 1 onion
• 2 potatoes
• 4 green onions
Seasoning
• 6 tbsp TK spicy sauce
• 2 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tbsp minced garlic
• 1 tsp ginger juice
• A pinch of pepper
• 3 tbsp cooking wine
• 1 tbsp sesame oil
Instructions
Blanch the chicken in boiling water, then rinse it under running water.
Cut the potatoes, carrots, and onions into large chunks. Slice the green onions lengthwise.
Heat oil in a pot and lightly sauté the chicken. Add cooking wine to remove any unwanted smell.
Add soy sauce and enough water to submerge the chicken. Simmer until the chicken is half-cooked.
Add the potatoes and continue simmering until the chicken is fully cooked.
Add carrots, onions, TK spicy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Stir well and let everything simmer together for better flavor.
Once the sauce thickens, finish by adding sesame oil and pepper.
